The Current Weymouth (senior living community) will offer 91 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments, and 26 memory care apartments, with a neighborhood atmosphere and maintenance-free lifestyle.
It's located near South Shore Hospital and directly across from the South Weymouth Train Station, offering easy access for team members, and residents' families and friends.
Job DescriptionLed by the community's Executive Director, the Assisted Living Manager will lead and direct the delivery of non-clinical resident care, ensuring exceptional quality and services, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the company's mission, policies and procedures.
This role will also act as a liaison and extension of the wellness team to ensure proper communication and outcomes of care delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties Attract, retain, coach, motivate and lead the team who support residents in activities of daily living; hold the team accountable for meeting all mission, quality, safety, and other performance standards.
Assist with interviewing care managers and scheduling orientation.
Supervises resident care team members to include hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and counselingCreate staff assignment sheets, and work closely with the lead care manager to ensure all tasks are being performed.
Provide direct day-to-day oversight of resident care and ensure service plans are followed.
Utilize ALIS and schedule care tasks in the care plan as delegated by the RN.
Conduct coaching and training to associates throughout the community to promote excellent delivery of service and care to residents.
Partner with the Nursing Director to create and update resident service plans for residents and to identify and proactively respond to changes in condition and service needs.
Develop, monitor, and adjust work schedules for the team to ensure adequate staffing to meet service standards and regulatory requirements; ensure appropriate resources to deliver outstanding resident care while effectively managing salary expense.
On-call requirements as delegated by the community.
Implement and monitor safety protocols.
Maintain continuous and proactive communications with residents' family members to promote open dialogue and timely sharing of important information; serve as the first point of contact for resident and family questions and concerns.
Play a leadership role in creating and maintaining resident profiles to establish an understanding of their histories, preferences, and hobbies, and incorporate them into daily interactions and activities.
Implement and monitor adherence to policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements; address issues quickly to ensure consistent compliance.
Report concerns from staff, family, or residents to wellness and/or supervisor immediately.
May be asked to participate in outreach efforts, leading associate meetings and training programs, assisting in developing business plans and budgets, and serving as Manager on Duty.
Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduledEnsures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and proceduresMonitor and order wellness supplies as neededOther duties as assignedOn-call as delegated by the RN and/or E.

QualificationsDegree in a related field (health care, social services, therapeutic recreation) preferredPrior experience and knowledge of caring for people with Alzheimer's or other related dementias requiredMust have current First Aid and CPR certification as required by StateProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsPhysical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents.
The associate must use proper body mechanics.
